The rural people shall pay a small fee to access the services offered though these Gram-Seva Kendra.

BSNL Gram Seva project will garner and harness the power of youth, women and people at large while providing various IT and Non-IT services and making their life smoother than earlier. The project aims at facilitating and promoting efficient and effective services that will provide greater opportunities to the people in the rural areas. The project’s agenda is to remove all social inequalities and empowering the people in rural areas by enabling them to interact with a lot of available IT and Non-IT services while also making them economically self reliant.

The main services that the Gram Seva Project includes are BSNL Telephone, Mobile Bill collection center, BSNL Mobile Recharge services, DTH Recharge services such as Tata, Airtel and Reliance, Ringtone, Internet Gaming, Internet Surfing, Online Government Forms, Data Entry, Scanning, Printing, Xerox, Fax (send and receive), various non IT services (like stationeries, consumable and FMCG products), various computer courses, suggestions over overseas employment and Online Booking (Bus Tickets booking, Railway Ticket Booking, Airlines Ticket Booking, Hotel Booking) facilities. With the Gram Seva , all these services could be availed at one place.

Gujarat Infotech with BSNL provides a relief period of up to 6 months to the associates running the center. GI will provide data entry work for the first 4-6 months, so that the center runs smoothly. For an investment of Rs 60,000, the associate would get a Computer Set, Printer, Scanner, Fax, Copier, and a Web CameraFacilities for online booking and mobile recharge would also be provided.
